Processing Aid masterbatches contain fluoropolymer-based Polymer Processing Additives. due to the incompatibility of the fluoropolymers with the plastics and therefore the high affinity for the metal, a skinny coating is made within the extruder die. The friction between the molten plastic and therefore the metal die-wall reduces, leading to reduced stress on the plastic. It eliminates the melt fracture during the extrusion of LLDPE rich blends at high shear rates (output rates), the top pressure reduces and the assembly is often optimized. The films have a better gloss.
In addition, these products will minimize any die lip build-up. Fewer stops are going to be required for cleaning of the die lips, leading to better productivity, thus reduced cost.
